Our Story
Limerick City Partnership was founded in 1989 to tackle the high levels of unemployment in Limerick City. Originally established as People Action Against Unemployment Ltd.—commonly known as PAUL Partnership—our organisation has evolved alongside the city’s changing social and economic landscape. Our mission has expanded over the years. Today, we promote social inclusion through a wide range of programmes delivered across Limerick City. We work closely with communities and individuals who have been most affected by social and economic exclusion. Our goal is to enhance the quality of life for people living in Limerick City by fostering opportunity, inclusion, and positive change.
“Social Inclusion is achieved when people have access to sufficient income, resources and services to enable them to play an active part in their communities and participate in activities that are considered the norm for people in society generally" (Roadmap for Social Inclusion 2020-2025: Ambition, Goals, Commitments).
