English Language Learning & Building Community Connections
Our Conversation Club has become a hugely positive and welcoming space, offering weekly opportunities for participants to practice English, meet new people, and build meaningful community connections.
Based in the city centre, the club provides a relaxed and safe environment where participants can develop language skills, share experiences, and take part in cultural exchange — all over tea, coffee, and conversation. These community English sessions foster inclusion, social connection, and confidence among participants. This programme is funded by the Social Inclusion Community Activation Programme (SICAP).
Developed by SICAP staff in 2024 in response to growing demand for English language support and community integration, the club uses a conversational methodology inspired by Fáilte Isteach. We are proud of the positive impact the Conversation Club continues to have, helping people feel more confident, connected, and at home in their local communities.
