Local Development Week 2026
Local Development Week 2026 celebrates the impact of local development across Ireland. Join us as we showcase the people, partnerships and projects making a difference across Limerick City. Discover how local development creates stronger communities, greater opportunities and lasting positive change.
Local Development Week 2026 takes place from 28 September to 2 October and celebrates the positive impact of local development across communities throughout Ireland.
This year's theme, Local Action. Lasting Impact, reflects how local people, organisations and communities can create lasting positive change when they have access to the right supports, resources and opportunities.
At Limerick City Partnership, we work alongside individuals, families, communities, businesses and local organisations to create opportunities, reduce inequalities and support people to reach their potential.
Take a look at some of the activities, programmes and supports taking place across Limerick City this week.
Throughout the week, we'll be sharing participant stories, community initiatives, local projects and examples of our work. Follow us on social media to discover how local development is supporting people and communities to thrive.
