Education and Lifelong Learning
Education opens up opportunities for work, participation, and independence. Through one-to-one guidance, information on training and progression, and supports to take part in both accredited and community-based learning, we help people build skills, confidence, and pathways to lifelong learning. We also support local education initiatives, projects for children and young people, and regional learning networks to strengthen learning across our communities.
Additional Education Supports
Limerick City Partnership supports individuals to access a wide range of informal and formal education opportunities across our programmes. From conversation cafés and English language supports, to signposting learners to our partners in the ETB and third-level institutions across the city, as well as on-the-job learning opportunities, we work with each person to find the right starting point on their learning journey.
Additional examples of programmes which offer education supports include:
- Mid-West Local Area Employment Service (LAES) offers career guidance and action planning, as well as information on training and education options.
- Community Employment (CE) Childcare Training and Development Programme combines hands-on work experience in childcare settings with the opportunity to gain an accredited QQI qualification.
- ABC Start Right provides educational supports to both parents and childcare professionals and educators.
Community Partners
Many of our community partners also provide multiple entry points to education across the city. You can view a list of our community partners on our How we work page.
